Established in 2017, Las Vegas punks Lean 13 bring Hispanic pride to the punk rock community in their hometown Sin City and beyond. A five-piece band consisting of vocalist Paul Strawn, bassist and backup vocalist John Fernandez, rhythm guitar and backup vocalist Carlos Acosta, lead guitarist Rick Head, and drummer Scott Delafuente, they take their influences from the likes of Suicidal Tendencies, Agnostic Front, Minor Threat, Slayer, Motorhead, Death, and many more, bringing a fierce and fast energy that always translates to a raging pit.
Three years after their debut album, Drinking In The Parking Lot, the band offer another brutal and timely reminder of the days when punk rock was a straight punch to the face. Indeed, recorded at American’t studios in Las Vegas, and released on the American’t label, The Higher The Socks, The Downer The Foo, pulls no punches in tackling everything from the current worldwide pandemic – COVID – to mental health issues – Loaded Gun – and even a fearsome rendition of John Lennon’s Working Class Hero. Meaner than a junkyard dog, Lean 13 are always ready to bring it! They are currently available for interviews.
