The guitar was non-functioning when I bought it, and I went over it and got it all back into working order. The finish was just cleaned up so it's not a refinish because that would devalue it. I have restored it to its natural state of playable vintage instrument.

This listing is for a Gibson L-48 arch top acoustic guitar that I believe was built in the 1950’s. The guitar has had new reproduction kluson style tuners installed and the tailpiece is a vintage German made, possibly Hofner tailpiece. The previous owner said it was his father’s so I’m pretty sure the tailpiece was replaced many years ago. The guitar plays well to me, nice action. Someone else might be more finicky and need the frets dressed or some fine tuning but I can play it just fine. I don’t get buzzing or anything unless I’m not being accurate or using enough pressure on a few of the really high frets which are sort of hard to reach anyhow without a cutaway. There is a minor crack repair on the lower side that is as strong as new, it looks like it was just a fine split, no pieces were ever missing or anything. Guitar comes with a well built TKL case.
